Largo Canyon School of Horsemanship

Largo Canyon School logoThe Largo Canyon School of Horsemanship is proud to present a series of clinics demystifying the art and science of horse training. We believe that horse training is a rational process that can be learned, not a gift from God endowed on the few. Our clinics focus on the scientific principles of behavior modification and the adaptive innate behaviors evolved in the equine species. Our clinicians aren't developing cult followings, wanting their students to forever remain in awe, but rather are dedicated to enabling the student to make his/her own judgement based on effective practices.

Paul and QuimericoOur first clinician brings an international flavor to Largo Canyon. Paul Dufresne trains fine horses in the western province of British Columbia. Paul teaches his students how to rachet their horsemanship skills up several notches, no matter where they are starting. This clinic isn't about riding, it's about improving your relationship with your horse and finding new levels of compliance.Link to the description of this clinic

Largo Canyon SchoolLargo Canyon is a humble facility in the rocky canyons of NorthWest New Mexico. We can accommodate twelve students at a time, so the clinics are very personal and very intensive. We operate as a community rather than as mere accomodations, so expect to be part of an extended family rather than an isolated guest. It's not the Motel 6, you'll need to pitch in and help with cooking and cleaning. There are recycling bins, compost piles, and quirky washing machines. Don't worry, though, we've prepared a survival manual for you. Read it! It's just like summer camp.

Largo Canyon School is 20 miles off of pavement. Students should be in good health and good physical condition. If you have a serious medical condition, you should not get this far away from civilization.
